Emilio Jose Rodriguez is a litigator focused on personal injury and insurance claims. He handles personal injury cases stemming from automotive, premises, and professional negligence; as well as homeowners, life, disability, and assignment of benefits insurance claims. Emilio loves people and has a long history of advocating on behalf of individuals who have been wronged by powerful interests, including blue collar workers whose wages have been stolen by their employers, tenants who have been neglected by their landlords, and refugees escaping political oppression.
Emilio earned his J.D. in 2013 from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall). As a Berkeley Law student, Emilio served as Co-President of the Boalt Hall Students Association and Editor-in-Chief of the Berkeley La Raza Law Journal. He was also a co-founding member of the Men of Color Alliance (MOCA). In addition, Emilio is a graduate of Columbia University, where he graduated with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and earned multiple honors (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, Departmental Honors in Political Science). Emilio is also a proud graduate of the Honors College at Miami-Dade College and a product of the Miami-Dade County Public School system.
Emilio is licensed to practice in Florida and is a member of the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, the Dade County Bar Association, and the Florida Chapter of the ACLU. Emilio is a native Miamian of Honduran and Cuban descent.
